Yes, it is great to be able to charge your Tom Tom from home. I discovered after I opened the box that the charger for my mobile phone, Motorola RAZR has the same imput connector as the Tom Tom Charger and also puts out 5 V DC.
Though the Tom Tom charger works very well, I could have saved money by just using the cell phone charger which does exactly the same thing. Now I have a spare.

It was nice to get this, so I would not have to charge it in the car or connected to the computer.

Simply did not fit. Guess that's the reason for the incredible (and understandable) low price. Not worth even returning.

I don't know how well it works because it was the wrong charger for my GPS. They sent me the wrong one; I didn't order the wrong one. However, they did give me a full credit. They also responded promptly.
